Job Overview
The farm mechanic will be responsible for improving the overall operating functions of the farm equipment to achieve the desired goals. This will include preventative and ongoing maintenance programs. 

Essential Functions:

  • Locate, diagnoses, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on all equipment to reduce risk of future problems.
  • Managing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing all company vehicles and farm equipment.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, spray systems and pumps.
  • Diagnosing and performing minor and major repairs on engine, transmission, differential, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting, HVAC, power steering, cooling, fuel, and emissions.
  • Follow the inventory control systems set in place in the farm.
  • Responds to emergency equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
  • Performs general housekeeping duties and other duties as assigned by management.
  • Support the safety program, practicing lockout/tag out policy and ensuring that the equipment safety devices are operational.
  • Being adaptable at work, respond quickly & positively to changing ideas, responsibilities, expectations, strategies on tasks delegated to you by a supervisor.
  • Always work in a safe manner following all established safety rules and regulations.
  • Availability to work overtime, and weekends as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



  • High School Degree or Equivalent.
  • Must have 2-4 years of Maintenance Mechanic experience.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must possess or be able to acquire a forklift operator license.
  • Must have a sense of urgency.
  • Must possess good written and verbal communication skills, and mathematical knowledge.
  • Must have basic computer knowledge.
  • Required to possess own mechanic hand tools.

Pay Rate 

  • Pay Range: $28.00/hr. to $32.00/hr. 
  • Compensation is based on experience.
